IQ Bass
The 5-string IQ Bass features a multiscale fingerboard, making an even bigger splash than its predecessor, the legendary acoustic bass. The fanned fretboard not only ensures perfect intonation and optimizes playability, but it's also stylish. The bridge and headstock are harmoniously integrated into the asymmetrical design. The sound – simply stunning. The IQ Bass truly deserves the title "Exceptional" for its size, design, and sound.
In 1986, Christian Stoll introduced the first acoustic bass that truly lived up to its name. Exceptional volume combined with excellent playability made this bass a legend. Anyone who thought that was all that needed to be said was mistaken. With the IQ Bass, he set a new standard.
The multiscale fingerboard ensures improved playability and perfects intonation. Anyone who has ever tried to produce a decent tone with the E or B string of a standard acoustic bass will be astonished by the brilliance and projection of this instrument.
The dimensions remain largely the same. With a body width of 530 mm and a rib depth of 142 mm (at the deepest point), it clearly stands out from the majority of acoustic basses. The scale length is 864 to 915 mm. According to the laws of acoustics, bass sound can only develop where sufficient volume is present. Therefore, the IQ Bass, just like its predecessor, the legendary acoustic bass, is one of very few that can hold its own in an ensemble without amplification.
Even shorter players can handle it comfortably if they adopt the recommended posture. When standing, the position can be easily adjusted by raising or lowering the neck. When seated, the body is placed between the legs so that the upper bout rests on the left knee.
The IQ acoustic bass is available as a 4-, 5-, or 6-string model.
Price from €5,500

Classic Bass
The 5-string acoustic bass: where others fail, the STOLL acoustic bass truly shines. Exceptional volume and meticulously engineered internal construction make this instrument a unique offering among acoustic basses.
Precise in tone and possessing tremendous projection, its sound is strongly reminiscent of a double bass, which is why it has affectionately been called "the double bass you can wear." With this bass, you'll be seen and heard!
With a body width of 530 mm, a rib depth of 142 mm (at the deepest point), and a scale length of 864 mm, this legendary acoustic bass clearly stands out from its peers. Anyone who has ever pondered the principles of acoustics will understand our concept, because it's clear that bass can only come out where there's bass inside. That's why this legendary acoustic bass is one of very few that can hold its own even unamplified in an ensemble.

Bass Ukulele
Our IQ Bass Ukulele is THE acoustic bass in a travel-size format.
Balanced, precise, and fast in response, both in the bass and treble ranges, this ukulele bass is ideal for anyone looking for an easily transportable acoustic bass. Despite its size, it delivers an impressively resonant tone even unplugged.
The collaboration with professional musicians during its design has elevated this ukulele bass far beyond the quality of typical ukuleles. But that's not all; it can certainly hold its own against conventional acoustic basses.
Intelligent Construction
True to our IQ concept, this little powerhouse also features fanned frets. We've positioned the soundhole in the side of the body to give the top the largest possible vibrating surface. For the same reason, the lower bout is designed to be very wide. This also creates more surface area, and in addition, the sides are positioned further away from the bridge, ensuring optimal vibration. With the wide lower bout, we've killed several birds with one stone, as it also increases playing comfort. The player has a comfortable resting surface for their strumming hand, and blood can circulate freely in the forearm.
Jumbo sound in a ukulele format
Our little powerhouse is loud, crisp, and focused. It boasts a broad midrange, unlike most ukulele basses, and is also significantly more present.
This is made possible by the combination of excellent top and body construction on the one hand, and the choice of strings on the other.
These are not the type of strings usually used for acoustic basses, but a special design with a nylon core and a winding of silver-plated copper wire from Pyramid. These strings are significantly more flexible and therefore vibrate more cleanly. This makes it possible to get more sound out of these shorter strings than from a typical acoustic bass.
